Foodpoint Members Visited Anuga Expo 2017

Within the scope of the "Improvement of International Competitiveness of Food Industry in Bursa"  Ur-Ge Project, representatives of the food sector took part in the Anuga Food & Beverage 2017 Fair. BTSO Board Member Aytuğ Onur said that they are aiming to reflect the success of the industry in production to export.
 

BTSO aims to develop the business world of Bursa to globalize and improve its competitiveness. Within the Ur-Ge Project, food sector representatives from Bursa held important business meetings in Cologne, Germany. The BTSO members, which are the producers in various fields of the food industry, visited the Anuga Fair after the B2B meetings. Representatives of Bursa business world, who examined one of the world’s biggest trade fairs in food sector Anuga Fair, witnessed new developments in the sector and signed cooperation agreements with global brands.


Evaluating BTSO delegation's visit to Anuga Fair BTSO Board Member Aytuğ Onur emphasized that the fair was very productive for Bursa companies. Reminding that they came to an Anuga Fair 4 years ago with a delegation of 25 peopl and this figure increased 3 times this year. Onur said, "This is the first time I have visited the Anuga Fair with such intense participation. We will continue our organizations to give power to the exporters of our sectors.”


BTSO Council Member and Head of the Delegation Burhan Sayılgan said that Turkish participants showed great interest in this year’s Anuga Fair. Saying that the members of the BTSO have made important business meetings with the foreign companies, Sayılgan said, "The participation of Turkish firms increase by 20 percent every year. The quality of our products also makes us proud.”


As part of the fair visit, Aytuğ Onur and Burhan Sayılgan also visited Bursa companies that opened stands at the Anuga Fair. They also met with the Consul General of Turkey, Hüseyin Emre Engin. 7,405 companies from 107 countries participated in the Anuga Fair. Turkey is the 5th country with 298 companies after Italy, Germany, Spain and China. About 15 firms from Bursa participated as exhibitors.
