Bursa Food Sector Focused on Export

Nearly 800 B2B meetings were held in the purchase delegation organization of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), the second of which was organized within the scope of Ur-Ge Project this year, and 250 business people from 39 countries attended. BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay said that they will continue their new organizations to reflect the potential of the sector in export.


"Improvement of International Competitiveness of Food Industry in Bursa" Ur-Ge Project, with the support of the Ministry of Economy and under the leadership of BTSO, increased the exporting ability of the sector. With the first event BTSO brought together 150 business people from 26 countries in Bursa and on 27 September to 1 October welcomed 250 business world representatives from 39 countries. 40 food companies from Bursa, have established significant commercial connections with business people from various geographies, from Saudi Arabia to China, Germany to Indonesia, India to Russia.


BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay said that while the purchasing delegation organizations contributed to the export of the companies, they added great power to the city's tourism and trade. Burkay also stated that foreign business representatives have the opportunity to examine the production facilities of companies and said: "Ur-Ge procurement delegation program organized for the food sector has enabled our firms to meet with business people from 39 countries. Our companies held close to 800 business meetings. As BTSO, we will continue our new organizations for export-oriented growth of Bursa economy. "
