Bursa Food Point 5th Buyers' Delegation & B2B Meeting

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) organized the 'Bursa Food Point Buyers' Delegation / B2B Event' for the 5th time on May 31 - June 1, 2022, with the aim of enhancing the international competitiveness of the food sector. The event, attended by more than 200 foreign buyers from 60 countries, resulted in nearly 1,500 business meetings. The 'Bursa Food Point' was organized within the scope of two separate UR-GE (Export-Oriented Research and Development) projects supported by the Ministry of Trade, focusing on Processed and Frozen Food sectors. The event brought together Bursa food companies and foreign buyers. After a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic, the event took place at the Merinos Atatürk Congress and Culture Center over two days.

"WE INVITED IMPORTANT BUYERS FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD" 

BTSO Board Member Aytuğ Onur stated that they successfully completed the B2B organization, hosting over 200 guests from 60 countries. He highlighted BTSO's expertise in organizing such events, bringing major buyers from around the world to meet with Bursa companies, contributing significantly to the food sector and exports.

"WITH EACH EVENT, THE BAR IS RISING"

BTSO Council Member and Food Agriculture Livestock Council President Burhan Sayılgan expressed the value of being together with participants after a two-year break. He emphasized the satisfaction of foreign visitors with the meetings held with Bursa companies. Sayılgan thanked BTSO, President İbrahim Burkay, and board members for their support to the sector.

"AN EFFICIENT ORGANIZATION WAS CONDUCTED"

BTSO Council Member Elif Özhan mentioned their participation in various projects as BTSO and the 27th Vocational Committee. She expressed satisfaction with the efficient organization and expected new business connections from the meetings with visitors from Africa and the Middle East.

VISITORS AND COMPANIES WERE SATISFIED

The attendees, both domestic and foreign companies, expressed their satisfaction with the bilateral business meetings and the organization as a whole. The 'Bursa Food Point' buyers' delegation event included fruitful discussions and left both participant companies and visiting buyers happy. This year's event exceeded the achievements of previous years and featured products such as frozen fruits and vegetables, bakery products, frozen fish, chestnut candy, olive oil, tahini-molasses, honey, chocolate, confectionery, jam, baklava, coffee, legumes, and dairy desserts. Buyers from countries including the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Russia, and the United Kingdom participated in the event.

Participants like Enoch Kofi from Ghana and İrfan Karkaş from Belarus found the event valuable for exploring a wide range of products and establishing important connections with Bursa companies. They expressed gratitude to BTSO for organizing such a significant event.

BTSO UR-GE members Ali Yıldız, Muhammet Serhat Öztürk, and Mikail Küçük also praised the success of the organization, stating that their expectations were exceeded, and they look forward to participating in future events.
